Roles & Responsibilities
Took business requirements for a trade lifecycle and an off-the-shelf BPM package and integrated into core applications; custody engine, data warehouse, reporting engine and message hub. In doing so manage to avert $500k of extraneous vendor development costs
After assessing many options recommended SOA as the only practical approach for major global legacy modernisation program. Presentation & proposal accepted and subsequently adopted over rip-and-replace, re-engineer and mass translation options.
Provided pre-sales architecture support for RFP/RFI submissions, partnering with the sales teams to ensure JPMC responses were timely, comprehensive, accurate and persuasive.
On Several insourcing bids, provided technology consulting and advice to the sales teams. Attended prospective and successful bid client meetings making presentations on JPMC technology and integration opportunities and plans.
Provided ad-hoc consultancy on a day to day basis for the onshore and offshore development community on their projects.
In collaboration with the Transfer Agency product & sales business unit, drew up 3 year technology roadmap, defining current, interim and future state architectures, to outline the steps necessary to meet the business objective and consolidate to a single global platform.
Governed all technology projects in region for said business unit, ensuring compliance to roadmap, adherence to group technology standards and architecture principles, maximizing re-use and reducing unnecessary developments, 2008 cost avoidance=$250k.
Provided “ZACHMAN-like” design authority approval and architecture guidance for all new build and enhancement projects in region.
Gained certification in ISEB Certificate in IT Architecture (TOGAF-based)
